When three strangers are brought together by three mysterious stones and the discovery of a common enemy, they must fight to keep the magic of the Phoenix out of dangerous hands before their world is destroyed forever. But uniting will not be easy for Nicolai, the simple peasant with a powerful secret; Marcellus, the warrior prince who’s no longer heir to the throne; and Corren, a gifted wizard whose ambitions threaten to ruin them all. Full of magic, mystery, and a touch of romance, Gift of the Phoenix is an epic fantasy that takes the reader deep into the heart of a wondrous world and the three men destined to defend it.
“As an avid reader of fantasy, I often encounter boring or overused plotlines—this was neither! With a fresh new take on fantasy adventure, Cook constructs an enchanting world of magic, kingdoms, rebirth, and death. Her masterful portrayal of characters leaves one feeling as if the characters are close friends, and one quickly devours the pages to know what lies in store…. Love, hate, fear, uncertainty, and more fill each chapter, and one will never be bored! I simply cannot wait to read more of Donna Cook’s work!” – Artemis of Fantasy Book Lovers Unite
“An incredibly impressive book that grips you from the very start. There is plenty of action in the story, some wonderful characters and magical, atmospheric settings. Donna has created a fascinating realm in this story which, even if you don’t consider yourself a fantasy fan, you’ll definitely enjoy.” – Stephanie Dagg of Books Are Cool
“If you like books like Harry Potter, then you’ll definitely like this one. It’s fast-paced, surprising, magical, and just such a fun read. A surprisingly good first book.” – IdahoFamily, Five-star Amazon review.
Corren embarks on a perilous quest for the secrets of a long-extinct branch of the Order. In his absence, a menacing illness threatens the extinction of the earth faeries. But is it Nicolai they need or Corren’s powerful staff? And while Marcellus delves further into his bond with the element of water, he quickly finds it may require more than he’s able to give.
In this intriguing continuation of Cook’s epic saga, the Three discover the power of ancient secrets, new enemies, and treacherous desires. Together, they must protect their world from its most dangerous threat yet. If it isn’t already too late.
This follow-up to the epic fantasy adventure, Gift of the Phoenix, is a stand alone. However, if you don’t want spoilers for the first book, you may want to read that one first.

But something goes terribly wrong. The Phoenix is in danger and charges Nashua with protecting its magic from those who would steal it. To save her world and all those she holds dear, Nashua must make an impossible choice.
“I am impressed with Nashua’s Choice. She enchants me and I grieve for her plight. It is a marvelous new piece of your Phoenix story. Truly, a pleasure to read. I found the hole in the page, crawled in, and wrapped the story around me.” – Patrick Rowley
